Have fun Mad!!! |
This morning we drove Mad to the Buffalo airport.....the little kids and I were really sad, we will miss her, but she will be back on Sunday... Gracie cried and cried....
 |
Gracie kind of lost it when Mad was leaving....

We returned for another day at Niagara falls.....
We left Pam, Brookie and Brittany at the gate to Canada....we wandered around the closely surrounding area in the town of Niagara/shopped for souvenirs/stopped at starbucks for a mug and a tea refill....Christian was seriously unhappy about not being able to go to Canada and pouted about it until he realized that we were going to go for ice cream at the Twist of the Mist.....when we got there all memory of the separation was

Cave of the Winds
The kids really wanted to do the Cave of the Winds hike down to the base of the falls so we signed up for the challenge.....I'm glad that we did....it was VERY wet and a little exciting/scary!!! I wish Madison had been here for this!!

We went back to the RV to hang out for a little while and eat dinner. The kids played in the mostly empty parking lot and Pam and I chilled out. As we were chatting and laughing about the day, a car pulled up next to the RV door and inched forward until the drivers window was even with the door. Peering into the RV was a policeofficer and he inquired where we might be staying for the night. We assured him that we were just waiting for the lighting up of the falls and then moving on to our campsite......He asked us some questions and we ended up telling him all about our EPIC adventure. He was totally interested and invited the kids into the police car for a ride. He piled us all into his very clean car and Met Jessie Mack and he took us out to Twin Sisters....an area where you virtually can walk right up to the edge of the water and touch it....we didn't do that, of course.....but we did get an "up close and personal" view of the Niagara River and falls. It is very intimidating and a little scary to be so close to something so powerful.....
Officer Mack gave us a ride over to the other side of the falls to view the night lights....it was beautiful...Pam and I had to really fool around with our cameras to get the lights but we finally found good settings to get some good pics....
We walked back tothe RV and stopped in to use the restroom at the Hard Rock Cafe.....
